Section One: The Demonic, Exposed
Lesson 1: Jesus, Overcoming Demons
Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. Throughout his earthly ministry, Jesus confronted the kingdom of darkness and delivered many who were oppressed by demons. In this lesson, you will review how Jesus dealt with demons and six different means by which they were expelled.
Lesson 2: Overcoming Demons in the Early Church
As the early church stepped out in evangelistic outreach, the demonic realm struck back. Throughout the New Testament we see this struggle played out through spiritual warfare and encounters of deliverance. This lesson will acquaint you with the spiritual weapons of the early church: righteousness, watchfulness, Jesus’ blood, testimony, and self-sacrifice.
Lesson 3: Scriptural Characteristics of Demons
Satan and his demonic hosts have distinct personalities and engage in an endless array of anti-kingdom activities as they seek to entice, enslave, and torment. The Bible mentions at least 13 names for demonic spirits that mirror their behaviors. In this lesson you will learn clear scriptural guidelines for resisting demons and avoiding bondage.
Section Two: Revealing and Defeating the Enemy’s Plans
Lesson 4: Truths and Tactics of Temptation
While God tests our faith, He never tempts us. The devil loves to capitalize on temptation through subtlety and deceit. But if you feed on the right things and learn how to resist, you can consistently stand firm. In this lesson you will discover eight basic strategies that will help you resist temptation and guard you against the wiles of the enemy.
Lesson 5: Battle Plans for Overcomers
The enemy always hits hardest in times of weakness: physical exhaustion, major change, and immediately following a prophetic word, miracle or promotion. It is vital that you learn to recognize his strategies and exercise the weapons you’ve been given in Christ Jesus. In this lesson you will learn Satan’s four favorite tactics and discover specific weapons for achieving victory and shortening your season of struggle.
Lesson 6: Exercising Kingdom Authority
The most important foundation you can know is that God is the highest authority. But many people misunderstand the transfer of His authority at significant points in history: from God to man, from man to Satan, from Satan to Jesus, and finally, from Jesus to Believers. In this lesson you will discover the authority you possess in Christ Jesus as a citizen of Heaven.
Section Three: Our Authority in Christ
Lesson 7: Realms of Kingdom Authority
In Christ Jesus, you are empowered to extend His kingdom authority into every sphere: over demons, the elements, natural laws, sickness and death, fear, your emotions… and the list goes on and on. This lesson will show you how to actively guard yourself, your family and your friends, and exercise Kingdom authority in ten specific areas of your life.
Lesson 8: Preparations for Deliverance
Before deliverance comes repentance. It is vital to break off evil by renouncing sin, immorality and the occult. It is equally important to welcome God’s light by choosing humility, honesty, confession and forgiveness. This lesson will show you how to loosen the grip of the enemy prior to deliverance, and then walk out deliverance in confidentiality and love.
Lesson 9: Effective Procedures for Deliverance
Guidelines for deliverance—like being Spirit-led, fasting, worshiping, and yielding to Christ—help set the groundwork for success. There are also practical considerations for handling someone diagnosed with mental illness. In this lesson, you’ll receive step-by-step procedures for ministering deliverance and keys for follow-up that will help ensure the newfound freedom is maintained.
Section Four: The Remedy
Lesson 10: Curses—Causes and Cures
Breaking curses—statements made with spiritual authority for evil—is an essential part of becoming truly free from the power of the evil one. Curses can be pronounced by God, other people (especially those in relational authority), Satan and ourselves. In this lesson, you will learn the forms curses can take, the legal rights involved, and seven simple steps for stepping out of curses into blessing.
Lesson 11: Generational Blessings
The nature of blessing is like the nature of a curse except it brings life instead of death. To bless is to invoke divine favor, happiness, and prosperity. Generational blessings frequently involve touch, spoken word, giving value, and declaring a special future. But even if you didn’t receive blessing directly in your family line, in this lesson you will discover eight places where you can receive powerful, obtainable blessings in your life.
Lesson 12: Deliverance Made Easy
The gospel of the Kingdom is a message of deliverance, freedom and cleansing. As a member of the Kingdom, you walk out of darkness and into the liberty and light of your Father’s powerful love. In this final lesson, you will be reminded of how to firm up your freedom, engage your spiritual weapons, avoid common blockages, and maintain the fullness of your deliverance from darkness.
